Trinidad Jame$ Announces New Free Album, Premieres Diplo-Produced “BlackMan Pt. 2”

“Don’t compromise your manhood for a check. Keep it real and deal with the cards that you’re dealt.”

January 07, 2015

Trinidad Jame$ will release a free album, called No One Is SaFe, on January 20th. It will feature appearances by iLoveMakonnen, OG Maco, Peewee Longway, Offset, Problem, Lil Debby, Scotty ATL, and Big K.R.I.T. Following an EP released earlier this month, it's the proper sequel to Trinidad's 2012 breakout Don't Be S.A.F.E. (Remember: S.A.F.E. stands for Sensitive As Fuck Everyday.) There will be art shows-slash-parties to celebrate the album's release in Atlanta (MJQ on January 17) and Los Angeles (Hollywood on January 22).

Diplo collaboration "BlackMan Pt. 2," below, is a first taste of the project. "I'm a huge fan of Diplo's production and spirit as an artist," Trinidad told The FADER in an email. "I heard the beat on SoundCloud and it inspired me to get focused on what type of message I really wanted to relay this year with my music and as an artist—and also as a man in this world, which is the most important part of being in this game."

"Don't compromise your manhood for a check," Trinidad, who was released from a Def Jam deal in 2014, continued. "Keep it real and deal with the cards that you're dealt."
