The Diplomats Return With A “Victory” Freestyle

It’s the next chapter in Dipset’s ongoing tension with Jay Z.

January 16, 2015

It's been more than a minute since we've heard from Cam'ron and Jim Jones on the same track but tonight brings a new cut from The Diplomats. Titled "Victory," the freestyle adds another layer to the long-running tension between Dipset and Jay Z. It opens with a snippet of Funkmaster Flex's most recent freestyle on Hot 97, the one where he wonders why Jay Z's Life + Times blog approached him about his involvement with the Dipset reunion when Jay's 40/40 clubs have a reported ban on DJs spinning Dipset songs. The freestyle brings up more questions than it answers but one thing is for sure: Dipset and Flex are banding together.
