FKA Twigs Choreographed A Scene In A Film Called Catch Me Daddy

One of the characters roils around to Patti Smith’s “Land”

Close followers of FKA twigs will know that the London-based singer takes her craft as a dancer just as seriously as her musicianship. As NME points out, she recently had a chance to showcase that side of her skill set in a Daniel Wolfe-directed film called Catch Me Daddy. While Twigs herself doesn't appear in the film, she choreographed a scene in which a character dances around a room to the Patti Smith track "Land."

In an interview with Dazed, Wolfe said that Twigs was brought on because the actress Sameena Jabeen Ahmed had "literally never danced." So she came aboard and helped Ahmed figure out how to "overcome that obstacle of being in your early 20s and dancing in a room full of people." You can watch the scene over at NME and the trailer for the thriller down below. For more on FKA twigs' dance background, read our recent cover story on the "Two Weeks" singer.
