Micah Freeman Debuts “The Red,” Announces New EP

“If I ever have to throw hands with a suit on, I’d want this joint playing in the background.”

Singer/songwriter Micah Freeman makes hardscrabble blues with blade-in-cheek lyrics, exemplified on "The Red." The Baltimore-born, Atlanta-based artist will release The Red EP, a self-produced five-track project, on Awful Records, and the first single features label-boss Father. "I needed to capture this angst and youthful vigor that I see and feel around me," Freeman explains to FADER. "This song wants to kick your door in and fuck shit up, however you want to interpret that. If I ever have to throw hands with a suit on, I'd want this joint playing in the background."
