Update 2/25/15: Just like that, new Quan trickles onto the internet. A new collaboration with Young Thug called "My Homie," can also be heard over at Complex.

Despite releasing a handful of solo tracks, Rich Homie Quan's 2014 was defined largely by his contributions to Birdman's Rich Gang supergroup. But in an interview today with Atlanta's Hot 107.9, via Complex, the GEN F alum has said that won't be the case this year, announcing that he's "stepping away" from that crew at least for the moment in order to focus on his own new material.

He says he's hard at work on a new solo mixtape because "people want Quan back" and "it's time for Atlanta and the world to know that Quan has improved." He stresses that things are cool with Birdman and co. "for the moment," so there's always, of course, the chance that he joins back up with them at some point in the future. Watch the interview in full up above.
