Tunji Ige Jumps On The Upbeat Remix Of Janine & The Mixtape’s “Hold Me”

Same sad song, now featuring new bouncy production from Ghost Loft.

It's been a two years since the release of singer-songwriter Janine & The MIxtape's debut project, Dark Mind EP. The lead single "Hold Me" has since garnered 2 million hits, and even earned a Pusha T remix last October. Since then, the New Zealand native has transplanted to Brooklyn and signed with Atlantic Records, and today Janine unveils the remix of "Hold Me," featuring up-and-coming rapper Tunji Ige with an updated production from Ghost Loft. Ige's bars weave in and out of bass hits, and the broken-down bridge offers the Philly co-ed a chance to remind us of his great singing voice as well. "Adding Tunji Ige was excitingly perfect. He is so talented and absolutely kills this track with his lyrics, melodies, flow and feel," Janine told the FADER via email. And of Ghost Loft's bouncy rework, she says: "I was blown away by Ghost Loft's fresh, upbeat yet moody remix of my track." Check it out below.
