"FourFiveSeconds" may be built by-the-textbook, but its components are far from basic. Today we learn via Billboard that joining Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney on the song is Wilson Phillips, of "Hold On" fame. Kanye himself wrangled the '90s trio for their "authentic" and "angelic" vibes, according to Carnie Wilson, who tells the magazine: "He said, 'When I think of authenticity and I think of angelic, I think of you." The girls were told they could do whatever they wanted with the song, their backing vocals can maybe sorta be heard on the bridge, and perhaps the chorus, of the final production. Now, the trio is hoping Kanye will return the favor on their next album. "I would love to see what he would have in mind," Wilson says. "He thinks outside the box."
