Miguel, Estelle, Doug E. Fresh, and Judith Hill joined Prince onstage; Beyonce and Jay Z met with Freddie Gray’s family

May 11, 2015

Prince played his "Rally 4 Peace" concert in Baltimore yesterday—his first appearance in the city in over a decade—complete with his current backup trio, 3RDEYEGIRL, a horn section, and guest appearances from Miguel, Doug E. Fresh, Estelle, and Judith Hill. The Baltimore Sun reports that tickets cost somewhere between $22 and $497 dollars, with an indeterminate portion of the proceeds going to charities in Baltimore. (The show also streamed for free on Tidal.) While Prince is famous for enforcing a "no phones" policy at shows, some brave individuals managed to capture snippets of the event, which you can see below.

In addition to all the onstage firepower, Beyonce and Jay Z were in town for the show, and they met with the family of Freddie Gray backstage. Jay Z promised that Tidal would match the level of charitable donations from Prince's concert.
