After a single tease, Girls frontman-gone-solo Christopher Owens has quietly delivered a 16-track album on BandCamp. Titled Chrissybaby Forever, it was recorded almost entirely by Owens (excepting the friend who did the engineering, a drummer, and some female backup singers), and he has described it as being a return to the fundamentals. "I was tempted to call this Christopher Owens’ Album," he told Stereogum, "because for me it’s really about getting back to the basics."
The album is streaming now below and on BandCamp; it will be available on vinyl this August. For more Owen and his inner workings, revisit his 2012 The FADER cover story.
