G FrSH, Stormzy And Tinie Tempah Have All The Feels In Their “Sometimes” Video

The British rappers get reflective for this sweet tune from G FrSH’s latest EP.

British rapper G FrSH spent time ruminating on love and relationships for his latest EP, Alfie. Perhaps the release's sweetest cut is "Sometimes," a message to long-gone exes with an all-too-relatable hook—girl I can't lie, I think about you sometimes—and pensive guest spots from Stormzy and Tinie Tempah.

“The initial idea came about because I was talking to a girl I used to see and she asked me if I missed her," G FrSH told The FADER over email. "I didn’t want to lie and say that I full-blown missed her. I thought about her sometimes. That’s where the idea for the song came about—and then, to get Tinie on the song, I wanted him to get a little more emotional than he usually does on songs. I wanted to blend the verses so it seems seamless, and I think it worked really well. Getting Stormzy on it was pretty much a no-brainer, hearing him sing on his EP and on one of his Radio 1 Live Lounges; I thought it would be interesting to see him sing on a few more songs!”

As Tinie Tempah put it, also over email: "'Sometimes' is one of the most honest and forward-thinking records to come out of our scene in a while; I’m happy to have been a part of it.” Watch all three artists grapple with the past in the streets and swing sets of London in the video above.
