Ky-Mani Marley Premieres An Ode To Anti-Gold Diggers

The low-key loverman of the Marley family shares “Fancy Things.”

As the low-key loverman of the Marley family, Ky-Mani is an expert at speaking directly to ladies' wants and needs. "I was raised in a home full of women: my mother, my three aunts, and my grandmother," Marley told The FADER. "The women that raised me taught me to never be afraid to love, never be afraid to show your emotions, or to say 'I love you' and mean it."

On "Fancy Things", the second single from his forthcoming album Maestro, Marley checks for the women that aren't tripping over material things: the kind of woman that prefers legit lovemaking to balling out at the mall. Over strumming acoustic guitars and a charging beat, Marley makes a convincing case for a return to love and offers a welcomed change of pace from dancehall's current sex-crazed wave. Maestro, out June 30th, is available for pre-order now.
