FADER cover star Hudson Mohawke is releasing Lantern next week, but the album is streaming now, so he took to Twitter today to break down each song on the record. This was a detailed effort: the producer talked about what he wanted the album to represent as a whole, and then shared details about the creation of each track. Read some of the highlights below—apparently there’s an alternate version of “Ryderz” floating around with an unnamed rapper, and several unreleased songs with Miguel (in addition to the one on Lantern). At one point during recording, Mohawke mistook Boy George for Rick Rubin. You can see all of the producer’s tweets here, and check out FADER’s cover story on Mohawke.
