Sunflower Bean’s “The Stalker” Whips Ass

The New York psych trio premieres the b-side to their new 7-inch.

July 08, 2015

NYC psych trio Sunflower Bean is a band about town, regularly whipping ass in dimly lit venues the whole city over. The elements that make them such a solid live team—righteous proto-metal riffs, barreling drums, delay-heavy boy/girl vocals—also make for some great recorded material. "The Stalker," debuting below, has all those things, plus a skin-crawling narrative about a shady character dressed in white who lurks at nighttime. The song is the b-side to their new Fat Possum 7-inch, which drops July 24th. Six days later, they're throwing a release party at Rough Trade in Brooklyn. They're performing there too, thank god.
