Soon after Beats 1 Radio launched, the Twitter account @Beats1Plays surfaced to Tweet the name of every song played by Apple's various DJs and special guests. This allowed Billboard to compile the data in an effort to determine which songs earned the most plays during the first week of the new program.

Beats 1 appears to be making a concerted effort to play buzzed-about youngsters. D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha” was the fourth-played song in the first week. Other notable entries include Alessia Cara’s “Here,” with 16 spins—that’s more than Drake’s “Know Yourself.” Skepta’s “Shutdown,” Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and Boogie’s “Oh My” were also in frequent rotation; all three songs got more attention than OMI’s “Cheerleader,” even though that’s a much bigger hit. Check out the top ten below, and look here for the complete rankings. All is not lost if you missed Elton John’s Rocket Hour: Billboard also compiled the playlist from every specially hosted show.
