Not so long ago, Buraka Som Sistema member Branko told The FADER, "Personally I think zouk and kizomba could really add a new direction to R&B and take it back to the roots in a really creative way." As part of the recording process for his new album ATLAS, the Portuguese producer found himself in Cape Town with singer Nonku Phiri and L.A. beatmaker Mr. Carmack testing out exactly that theory; and the result is the super smooth "Let Me Go."

"I think we all knew we had something special in our hands by the end of that day," Branko shared with The FADER over email. "If one of the main things I wanted to achieve with ATLAS was to bring artists from different backgrounds together and see what kind of new and exciting music we could come up with, then 'Let Met Go' was definitely one of those 'mission accomplished' moments for me." Listen below, and pre-order ATLAS here.
