Last year, Teyana Taylor released her VII album. At the time, label boss Kanye West showed up at her release party and offered her unequivocal praise. "There's never been someone on the label who's had to take something into their hands quite as much as this girl had to do," he noted. "So I really want y'all to give her credit for fighting against the entire system... Teyana provides something that's so R&B, so black, so hood, so missing, so necessary in the marketplace."
Last night Taylor dropped a short follow-up to VII: the The Cassette Tape 1994 EP. Kanye produced the opening track, "Your Wish." The Cleveland Cavaliers' Iman Shumpert is also featured on the project. Stream below, and read the singer's FADER interview.
