"This is a Cinderella story," a voiceover declares near the beginning of the "Your Type" clip. In the video, Jepsen's character is having a bad day, but things start to turn around—at least in her head—when she gets on stage for a cathartic performance at a bar. "We need our imaginations in order to survive," the narrator concludes. "Or do our imaginations need us in order to... never mind. Who really knows?"
