Amir Obè Taps PARTYNEXTDOOR For “Truth For You”

“The back and forth texts flowed and wrote the song for me as it all unfolded.”

First teased by Oliver on OVO Sound Radio last Saturday evening, the official version of Amir Obè's "Truth For You" is finally ready for the world. This version, as it turns out, also features PARTYNEXTDOOR.

"I wrote and recorded this song while in the middle of an argument with a girl I had been talking to," Obè told The FADER, explaining that the song is based on drunken text messages. "We were in different cities at the time. The back and forth texts flowed and wrote the song for me as it all unfolded. Her missing me was lost in translation."

And indeed, over reeling, bottom-heavy production by his go-to producer NYLZ, Obè warbles a bit bitterly about a girl who's name he got tatted on his chest: If you got to say it, say it all right now. Listen below.
