From its opening bars—Petrified Coca-Cola/ sweet and cool, I love it that way—Jodie Abacus' "Hot Kitchen" stands out. The song's familiar funk sounds fresh served alongside Abacus' futuristic delivery. The South London singer explained that the song's inspiration came from a legendary house party when a mysterious woman made a first move on him.

“She’d been looking at me all night and came up to me tipsy ..or a little more and called me ‘Coca-Cola’ before proceeding to invite me upstairs," he said in an email to The FADER. "As soon as I heard the music, my mind immediately went back to that place and pretty soon the chorus, Coca-Cola Hot Kitchen, began to jump out. I only wrote it a few months ago, but it’s was a blast to record and I’m excited to share it”
