With the release of her debut album elle just around the corner—it's out February 24 on the Ryan Hemsworth-helmed Secret Songs—Montreal producer and songwriter RYAN Playground has shared "bdkmv," an airy, even-keeled Kendrick Lamar cover that came about basically by accident.

"When I was creating the instrumental, it wasn't meant to be anything specific, but I ended up subconsciously singing 'Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe' over it and loved the way it sounded," RYAN told The FADER of her zen take on K. Dot's party anthem. "I always try to add an emotional edge to all of my music and I think this track does it right."
