Toronto experimental rock group Hooded Fang are all set to release their new album Venus On Edge on May 13 via Daps Records. Premiering here today is "Tunnel Vision," the record's biting and hypnotic opening track.

"['Tunnel Vision'] talks about everyday life shit when living in this future happening—the images and messages that people are exposed to on a daily basis, what is emphasized by the media, how it is rated by ratings and reactions," Hooded Fang told The FADER in an email.

The art for Venus On Edge is an interpretation of that feeling of being overwhelmed and overstimulated: "The album was given to artist and friend Michael Deforge, and he came up with the cover ideas while listening to it on a plane trip," the band wrote. "It turned out to be a fitting summation of the album's themes."
