"The New Cupid" paints an amusing picture. Cupid's too busy in the club, at the bar, rolling up, BJ the Chicago Kid sings. For a moment, the track takes a serious turn—If you see him, let him know/ Love is gone—before BJ swoops in to save the day: Stupid, I'm the the new cupid.
Kendrick Lamar, Hannibal Buress, Iamsu!, and Mila J all appear in the clip. "BJ was telling how the video was missing one piece," Buress told Rolling Stone. "It was me. I came into the picture and made this project whole. The cherry on top. The final stroke of the paintbrush on a masterpiece. A lot of people have been asking about my compensation for this project. BJ paid me in a lifetime subscription to Tidal and three ghostwritten 13-bar verses about any subject matter of my choosing."
