Ms. Lauryn Hill, in association with TIDAL X, has announced Diaspora Calling!, a music and arts series to be held April 13-15 at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre.
The three day event will begin with an art show and gallery opening on Wednesday, April 13, which will be followed by the Diaspora Calling! Music Festival the next day. The music portion of the festival features a wide range of international acts including Stephen Marley, Stonebwoy, and Machel Montano. The event will culminate in a headlining performance from Ms. Hill herself on April 15.
Ms. Hill says of the event: “Diaspora Calling! is a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of artists from the African diaspora while also illumining persistent and irrepressible themes."
