Ty Dolla $ign dedicated his debut album to his brother TC, who is currently serving a life sentence for murder. He also featured his brother, over the phone from prison, on a "Miracle / Wherever" from Free TC.
Today, Ty Dolla $ign released a new mini-documentary titled Free TC on his YouTube channel. The 12-minute video, which includes interviews with Ty's mother and sister, examines the singer's relationship with his brother and the circumstances that led to his incarceration. Apparently, TC was never identified by a witness at the scene of the crime and was convicted on circumstantial evidence. TC appealed his case in 2008 but was rejected. "I know we're gonna come back together soon," Ty says of his brother at the end of the video. Watch Free TC above.
