Steve Lacy recently showed up singing the hook on Kali Uchis's "Only Girl." "We have several tracks together," he told The FADER. "But that one is one we're dropping now. We're working together. That's a good friend of mine and we’ll always be working."
Uchis was hoping to find a male singer for the hook. "I feel like the role reversal fits the concept of the song," she told Genius. "The idea of women taking things into their own hands and being dominant enough to say no and set boundaries."
Today Lacy appeared in the video for the track along with Uchis and Vince Staples. Uchis directed her own clip. "A few of my inspirations for this video were edie, nancy sinatra & calle 13... RIP love you," she wrote on Twitter. Watch above.
