Beyoncé Remembers Prince And Vanity 6 At Miami Show

With “Purple Rain” and “Nasty Girl.”

Following Prince's death, six of his singles reentered the Hot 100. Four of those are inside the top 30, and the leader is "Purple Rain," the grand rock ballad that lent its title to the singer's landmark 1984 album.

Beyoncé kicked off the Formation tour last night and made sure to honor Prince by leading the crowd in a "Purple Rain" singalong. (Her own track "1+ 1" also plays as a "Purple Rain" homage.) In addition, she included a rendition of "Nasty Girl" in her set—the track was written by Prince and performed by Vanity 6. The lead singer of Vanity 6, Denise Katrina Matthews, passed away earlier this year. Watch clips below.
