According to Billboard, Beyoncé's LEMONADE debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart, making Beyoncé the first artist to have her first 6 albums to do so. Before LEMONADE's release, Beyoncé was tied with rapper DMX, who also saw his first five albums debut at No. 1.
Billboard reports that LEMONADE "earned 653,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 28, according to Nielsen Music" and that "pure album sales comprised 485,000 of that sum." This number lives up to Chart News's early prediction that it would sell over half a million copies in its first week.
