Since Views dropped last week, the first week sales predictions for Drake's new record have varied. Billboard predicted 900,000 total units, then said it could go as high as one million. It wasn't unbelievable: Drake revealed that Views had sold over 600,000 copies the day after its release. Today, Pitchfork reports Republic Records has announced that Views has sold 1.2 million albums total in six days, with streaming included, with a million of those units coming from inside the United States. The record was streamed on Apple Music over 200 million times in the United States and around 50 million times in other countries.

Views will be an Apple Music exclusive until May 13, when it will appear on other streaming platforms. It will be released physically and digitally for sale everywhere tomorrow on May 6. Read our thought on what held Views back creatively here, and check out Drake's FADER cover story.
