According to Pitchfork, James Blake told BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac that he will put out The Colour In Anything tonight at midnight GMT. His last album, Overgrown, arrived in 2013. "I guess we grow another few years older and a little bit wiser and learn and document," Blake said. "It's my life that’s changed, not the process."

The legendary producer Rick Rubin also played a role in the record. "I did some sessions with Rick Rubin just to get a sense of what it would be like for someone else to man the controls a little bit," Blake explained.

Blake has unveiled several songs in 2016, and he recently revealed his new album's title with billboards in London and Brooklyn. He also contributed to Beyoncé's LEMONADE, which has already sold more than 650,000 copies.
