NON Records's new pop-up store opened on Wednesday. It's located inside The Gift Shop, a Manhattan concept store at Red Bull Studios. We previewed some of the Duty Free Zone's morally conscious merch yesterday, and now They FADER is debuting an immersive mix courtesy of Chino Amobi, the co-founder and creative director of NON. According to Amobi, who's no stranger to subversive airport music, the 28-minute mix is "designed for NON Citizens as they traverse through International Airports and Duty Free Shops. It is constructed as an alternative to the general background airport ambience."

It's good timing, considering NON's international co-founders—plus peripheral experimentalists like Elysia Crampton, Rabit, and the N.A.A.F.I guys—are all flying into New York for a pair of Red Bull Music Academy events on Friday May 20: a collaborative performance between Nkisi, Chino Amobi, and Angel-Ho at The New Museum, and then a NON vs. N.A.A.F.I afterparty at Tropical 128. Guess we know what they'll all be listening to in JFK's customs line.
