The Weeknd - who was nominated for 19 different awards tonight at the Billboard Music Awards - won 8 categories, making him one of the frontrunner for most awards by a male artist at the BBMAs. (Usher still holds that honor, with 14 trophies won at the 2004 Billboard Music Awards.)
