Already regular collaborators, Soulection-affiliated producer Ta-ku and Australia-based singer Wafia are now conspiring to release an entire joint EP, titled (m)edian, on June 24 via Future Classic.
Today they have shared the first single off that project, a cool, yearning R&B track called "Meet In The Middle." People have opinions, doesn't mean I have to listen, Wafia sings in an assured whisper, There's something 'bout you that keeps me compromising.
“This song came out of a need to write about a very personal experience that both Reggie and I shared independently of each other," Wafia explained in an email to The FADER.
"All aspects of the song tell a story that runs parallel to both our lives," Ta-Ku seconded. "Compromise is sacrifice."
