The Roots Invite D’Angelo, Wu-Tang, And Others For First Roots Picnic NYC

The legendary Philadelphia crew is ready to move its annual Roots Picnic beyond its hometown borders. Questlove and Black Thought took to YouTube with a freestyle about the festival, which will be happening in New York City's Bryant Park on October 1 and 2. As Quest keeps a table knocking beat, Black Thought reels off some of the fest's performers like D'Angelo, John Mayer, Wu-Tang Clan, Kevin Gates, and more. The second day will also feature what is being billed as 'Black Thought's Live Mixtape' with Styles P, Freddie Gibbs, Royce Da 5'9, and J. Period.
