In celebration of the one-year anniversary of marriage equality in the U.S. and LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Vic Mensa dropped a surprise track called "Free Love," in which he enlists queer artists Le1f and Halsey as well as rappers Lil B and Malik Yusef. He accompanied the track with a heartfelt note posted on his Twitter in which he discussed his view of his role as a LGBTQ+ Ally.
"We have to be removed from our comfort zone to be able to grow," Vic writes. "Looking at the world around me, I realize now that as a creature of love, the battles of all people fighting to love are also mine. And I will stand with them. Will you?"
