Last month, The FADER partnered with SoundCloud Go to host a special Paris show with Bibi Bourelly. Next week, on August 16, we’re teaming up with the music streaming service again for a night of music discovery at a secret east London location, to be announced soon.
Headlining the night is Little Simz, the uncompromising London MC with 10 self-released projects to her name. At 22 years of age, she made history last year as the first independent U.K. rapper to appear on Forbes’s 30 Under 30: Europe tally, her 2015 track “Wings” just got a boost from being used in a major Apple campaign — and she’s been hinting that at this show she might just "perform some new shit off my new shit."
Simz will be joined by a diverse roster of supporting artists: U.K. club experimentalist (and RiRi reinvigorator) Murlo, electronic songwriter Jamie Isaac, and bubblegum-haired London grime/hip-hop DJ Snoochie Shy. FADER DJs will be holding it down, too.
SoundCloud Go is SoundCloud’s new subscription service, combining the world’s largest catalog of music and audio with an ad-free listening experience you can take offline. Tuesday's show is open to ages 18+, and entry with a free ticket is on a first come, first served basis. Apply for tickets here.
