M.I.A. Shares Diplo-Produced Version Of “Bird Song” After Interscope Clears It

The song was almost left off her new album.

Earlier today M.I.A. shared the track list for her new album AIM. Among the tracks set to feature on the release is Diplo's version of "Bird Song," which M.I.A. had previously suggested wasn't going to make the cut due to record label politics. As it turns out, M.I.A.'s label Interscope have now cleared the song for inclusion on the record and it can be heard above. M.I.A. announced this new via Periscope, broadcasting live from her record label's offices. AIM is released on September 9.
