Along with her daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé also invited the mothers of Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, and Oscar Grant to walk the red carpet at the 2016 MTV VMAs. Lesley McSpadden, Sybrina Fulton, Wanda Johnson, and Gwen Carr were all in attendance at the show and posed for pictures together and with Beyoncé.

Fulton, McSpadden, and Carr - the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner, respectively - were featured in Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album and recently made speeches at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
