Back in February, "Top Dawg" Anthony Tiffith hinted that TDE member and Rihanna collaborator SZA was slated to release a new project by the end of this year. Later on, SZA herself confirmed that her forthcoming project A, would be her debut album. In her interview with Entertainment Weekly, the singer claimed that A would drop “while everyone is still in a bathing suit.”

It's the 2nd of October, and A still hasn't surfaced. Earlier tonight, SZA aired her frustrations on Twitter and announced that she would be abandoning the project. "I actually quit," SZA writes. "@iamstillpunch can release my album if he ever feels like it . Y'all be blessed ."

In her tweet, SZA calls out the co-president of TDE, Punch, who may have had something to do with the album's delay. Punch had no direct response to the tweet, but instead posted a picture of the Joker maniacally laughing. The FADER has reached out to a representative for SZA for comment.

After SZA dropped the bad news, her fans were heartbroken. Many of them tweeted back words of encouragement and teary-eyed memes. View the responses below.
