Among plenty of other things, Donald Glover's FX series Atlanta has garnered acclaim so far for its musical choices. From Tame Impala to Kodak Black to OJ da Juiceman deep cuts, soundtrack has consistently been a topic of conversation around the show, prompting The FADER to hop on a call for a Q&A with the show's music supervisors, Jen Malone and Fam Udeorji last week.
The latest trailer for the series continues that trend, premiering a clip of the full studio version of a previously unreleased new track from the series' creator, Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino. The track is a slow, heavy slab of funk that's apparently popped up in festival sets, though never in its finished form. No word on whether the song will appear on Gambino's forthcoming Pharos, but Atlanta's first season rolls on next Tuesday.
