Vic Mensa addressed Lil Wayne's rejection of Black Lives Matter yesterday during his Ask Me Anything on Reddit. "I think it's a very ignorant, selfish, and isolated position to take," Mensa wrote, regarding Wayne's interview with Nightline, in which Wayne said "I am a young black rich motherfucker. If that don't let you know that America understands black [expletive] matter these days, I don't know what it is."

"Even someone as big as wayne is just a black man minus all of his ice and fame, and can be treated the same way," Mensa concluded.

Wayne has since apologized "to anyone who was offended" by his remarks, blaming the interviewer's previous questions about his daughter for agitating him.
