Trugoy the Dove), and Maseo discuss the path from the 1989 masterpiece 3 Feet High And Rising to 1996's comeback album Stakes Is High, which introduced the world to Common, Mos Def, and J Dilla. Prince Paul, the group's longtime producer, gives his take on their successes and struggles, along with several employees of former label Tommy Boy.
