In March, Anthony Tiffith posted a picture of a whiteboard with various dates and details surrounding upcoming releases from Top Dawg Entertainment. The picture hinted at new releases from the label's established artists like Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q, but it also featured a section labeled "new artists" with John Doe 1 and John Doe 2 as the listed names.
Aside from SZA and Jay Rock's albums, most of the projects on the board have been released, and Tiffith took to Twitter to celebrate that accomplishment while also hinting at surprises to come from the label. "I dropped 6 albums this yr. John Doe 1 n 2 both dropped," he wrote, referencing the original whiteboard post. He went on to say that Lance SkiiiWalker was one of the John Does, but another artist, who also released a project in 2016, is still yet to be announced. "i will reveal in 2017," Tiffith ended the tweet.
