Ray BLK Tops BBC Music’s Sound Of 2017 Poll

BBC Music run a poll every year designed to discover who the most exciting new artists in the world are. They ask a respected panel of British DJs, critics, and broadcasters for their tips and, generally, they have called most major success stories of the past decade. Previous winners include Sam Smith, Adele, and Ellie Goulding.

The 2017 winner was announced this morning with Ray BLK taking the title. She beat competition from blues singer Rag N' Bone Man, R&B singers Raye and Jorja Smith, as well as upcoming MC Nadia Rose respectively. Other artists who featured on the longlist included Dave, AJ Tracey, and Anderson .Paak.
