Rome Fortune Finds Clarity On The Grimey “Jaded”

Atlanta rapper Rome Fortune was last seen posted on top of a wrecked trailer in some extremely long jeans for the "Blicka Blicka" video. Today he's released a new song called "Jaded," the first official single from his Beautiful Pimp 3 project, the followup to his 2014 mixtape. It's a dark and bitter listen: C.Z.'s beat starts off like it's downloaded from a grime sample pack CD before the rattling trap percussion kicks in. As heavy and pitch-black as a medieval cauldron, it's an appropriately foreboding beat for Rome to but rival rappers on blast: "I don't need to know that you faded / I don't need to know that you made it / Maybe I'm just jaded," he raps.
