Joe Goddard Creates Techno Chaos With Goldfrapp On His “Anymore” Remix

Hear the Hot Chip member’s take on the duo’s new single.

U.K. electro-pop duo Goldfrapp will return next month with their new album Silver Eye. Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory worked on the album with St. Vincent producer John Congleton and The Haxan Cloak. Their new single "Anymore" is a heavy slice of electronica laced with Alison Goldfrapp's infectious pop-leaning vocals. Today, February 23, a dark new remix courtesy of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard arrives.

Under Goddard's guidance "Anymore" becomes a taut and powerful techno workout complete with distorted vocals which lend the whole thing a haunting effect. Speaking to The FADER via email, Goddard says: "With this remix I took tracks like "Freak" by LFO and "Two Of Us" by Supermayer as my inspiration and had fun with my Eurorack Modular System. I wanted to make something tense and chaotic.”

Check out the remix above. Silver Eye is due out March 31 via Mute.
