The Pheels want you to open up. The tag team of Curtis Fields and Phil Jones has returned with “The Realness,” a follow-up to the Atlanta R&B duo’s 2016 debut EP, likeWise. Premiering today on The FADER, the exceedingly chill track is a short-and-sweet, soul-searching groove supporting the belief that it’s easiest to make it through this thing called life when we’re our most real selves.

"’The Realness’ is about honesty with self,” Fields shared of the song over email. “The only way to truly be honest with others is to have knowledge of self. Matter fact, the road to anything of substance begins with knowledge of self." Listen to the track below, and look out for The Pheels’s new EP, due out later this year.
