The set-up of Bodied, a new movie about the a skinny white battle rapper, is reminiscent of Eminem's 8 Mile. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Eminem is a producer on the movie, which comes from director Joseph Kahn. It opens later this year and recently impressed critics at 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Kahn said that he expects the movie's soundtrack to feature new music from both Em and Dr. Dre. “By the time it’s bought and ready for distribution, Eminem will contribute a number of songs to the soundtrack," the director said. "They [Em and longtime manager Paul Rosenburg] have enlisted Dr. Dre for a couple of songs.”

This comes off the back of a recent quote from the Defiant Ones director, Allan Hughes in which he explained that "Dre records every day. Literally, he’s in there recording songs every day. He’s like Picasso in that way. He’s always painting. Right now he’s producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem’s latest album."

It was during a separate interview while promoting Bodied that Kahn suggested Beyonce had copied Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" video.
