The family of Louella Michie, whose death at a U.K. festival has led to a murder investigation, has said they do not suspect foul play in her death. A 28-year-old man was arrested following the death of Michie at Bestival in Dorset, England on Monday, September 11.
Her father John Michie, a British actor who has appeared in TV shows Coronation Street and Holby City, said her death was "a tragic accident" in a tribute to his daughter. "We've lost our angel," Michie told The Sun. It's not murder, they were friends. It was just a tragic mistake, a tragic accident. She touched so many lives. She was so very positive, so bright, so out there. She had such energy. The tributes to her have been incredible."
Dorset Police said a 28-year-old man had been arrested "to enable officers to conduct an interview under caution to help establish the full circumstances".
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire said: "Inquiries are now under way to establish how she died. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and this should give us more of an indication as to the cause of her death."
Bestival took place between September 7-11 and brought headline performances from Dizzee Rascal, The xx, Pet Shop Boys, and A Tribe Called Quest.
