DMX must pay $2.3M in compensation for tax evasion, TMZ reports. The New York rapper was sentenced to one year in prison last month after pleading guilty in court.
The judge is reportedly allowing him to pay the money back in monthly installments based on 10 percent of his monthly income and will begin after he is released from prison.
Additionally, DMX will be required to have supervision for the next three years and complete an outpatient substance abuse program. He has been in jail since January after failing a drugs test following his arrest in the tax evasion case.
It was reportedly recommended that he stay at the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility, the supposed inspiration for Netflix’s Orange is the New Black.
