The music video contains footage recorded in 1984 of Prince and his then-band the Revolution rehearsing their stage show in Flying Cloud Drive “Warehouse” in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It's also where Prince recorded the studio version of "Nothing Compares 2 U."

The newly revealed original composition of "Nothing Compares 2 U" joins versions by The Family, released in 1985, and Sinéad O’Connor’s cover, which went on to become a global hit in 1990. This week, publishing agent Esther Newberg confirmed that 50 pages of Prince's memoirs would be published by the end of 2018.
